Natural images of Russian classicism are considered being a conceptual form characterizing a certain genre. To study this problem, the method of historical poetics is used; the basics of Lomonosov's theory are analyzed in their relationship with the formation of styles and genres of Russian poetry. The system of natural images is considered in the aspect of their semantics associated with the literary tradition. Natural images can be considered the basis of the embodiment of the worldview. Especially important are such aspects as the psychologization of natural images and the tradition of depicting nature in various genres. In the process of comparing various works, a significant difference was found between the depiction of nature in odes (high style) and a group of "idyllic" genres (medium style). The commonality and difference of the depiction of nature in such genres as a spiritual ode, a panegyric ode, a panegyric idyll, an eclogue and an elegy are considered. At the same time, the panegyric idyll combines the features of a high and medium style, which is also manifested in the images of nature 45 Inherent natural images of odic and idyll traditions are dated back to antique. However, the Christian genre paraphrase, the Psalm poetic transposition, has influenced on Russian Ode boosting the natural images sacralization in the ecclesiastic and commendable (panegyric) odes. The natural images typology is specified to each genre. Great nature and Minor nature, having a deep sense potential, are considered being emphatic means that influenced on Russian poetry developing. For example Kostrov, Dmitriev, Sumarokov, Lomonosov, Kantemir’s works have been analyzed.
