Abstract
The article reviews with the specifics of representation of the intermediate palimpsest in the artistic text, the functioning of which is methodologically realized by pictorial ekphrasis. The study aims to analyze the ways various forms of «portrait» and «landscape» are embedded in the artistic text in the system of concepts -fictional? or -real? pictorial ekphrasis. The article focuses on the ability of ekphrasis to identify world-modeling meanings in a literary text, demonstrating the translucency between the intermediate layers of the palimpsest, which unfolds the polymodality of the writer's artistic worldview. The analysis of works "Portrait" by N.V. Gogol, "Shtoss" by M.Y. Lermontov, and "The Vampire" by A.K. Tolstoy serves as a foundation for the systematization of the mechanisms of artistic representation of the three-dimensional spatial organization of the oneirosphere, portrait topos, and reality as a basis for building a multilayered meaningful palimpsest. The author focuses on the structural mini-model of the "portrait" ekphrasis, which manifests in the macro model of "parallel worlds". "Landscape" (alternatively - "a man in a landscape") is one of the elements of the "spectrum of consciousness", and therefore initially the entire internal system of concepts of this model automatically becomes involved in the creation of the author's world. The article also studies the special form of palimpsest architecture by contemporary writer Hamid Ismaylov, structured on the principle of transtextuality of double modality 51 with an emphasis on the intermedial form of "fictional" ekphrasis, demonstrating the author's transtextuality between the intermedial layers of palimpsest. The intermedial ekphrasis corresponds with the system of chronotopic structures: "mirror", "labyrinth", "oneirosphere", "consciousness" - at the level of the figurative-metaphorical semiosphere. Thus, the study considers a variant of the meta-fictional intermedial palimpsest, which expands the possibilities of transtextualization as a method of intermedial analysis of a fictional text in the aspect of integral literature studies, which can also become a methodological tool in the study of intermedial palimpsest.
