Abstract
The main provisions of the article are based on the hypothesis that the poem “Chistyakov's Adventures” (1986) by Yuri Kuznetsov contains elements of the absurd. The poem is distinguished by techniques, principles, and motives inherent in the poetics of the absurd (grotesque, parody, carnival motifs, associativity, irony and auto-irony, paradoxical and metaphysical elements, a special type of symbolism, the motive of duality, etc.). The purpose of the article is mainly to interpret the role of absurd components in the poem, which will answer the question of whether it is correct to assume that the poet used these elements to achieve goals that correlate with the goals that the authors of the absurd literature commonly set for themselves. The article examines the irrational imagery inherent in the poetry of Yuri Kuznetsov as a whole and originally expressed in the poem, differentiates the poetic symbolism of the poem in its genetic comparison with Rabelaisian comicality. Along with the principles discussed above, the author gives a more detailed analysis of the patterns of the aesthetic game (with logic, canons, styles, and genres) and reviews the aspect of diverse transcendence beyond traditional structural (in a broad sense) boundaries. The study allowed us to discover several intertextual (literary, mythological, etc.) correlations of the central image of the poem - Chistyakov. As a result, the author comes to the conclusion that these artistic principles of the poem serve to create a refreshing comic effect, both related to the reinterpretation of the world's cultural heritage and yet aimed at “rebuilding” the reader's consciousness with the help of semantic and formal modifications of the creative heritage of Rabelais
